Admitted to the bar in 2017, Johannes specialises in advising and leading defences in all areas of white collar crime and specific parts of general criminal law. Johannes consults individuals and organizations in a wide variety of difficult and sensitive matters. He represents clients in court, as well as before regulatory agencies and tax authorities. Having worked for the European Commission before, Johannes regularly advises in international matters and represents international clients.
Johannes Lamsfuß graduated from Humboldt University in Berlin and received an LLM in international (criminal) law from the School of Oriental and African Studies, London. After his graduation, he worked for a Judge at the International Criminal Court in The Hague. As part of his legal traineeship, Johannes worked in the Office of the Public Prosecutor in Berlin, in the German Federal Foreign Office, for Freyschmidt Frings Pananis Venn and at the European Commission in Brussels. Johannes’ experience also includes practicing as a research assistant for a top tier law firm in Berlin (white collar and compliance). Prior to joining Freyschmidt Frings Pananis Venn, Johannes worked as a legal officer at the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF) in Brussels.
He is a member of Vereinigung Berliner Strafverteidiger [Association of Berlin Defence Lawyers] as well as Deutscher Anwaltverein (DAV) [German Bar Association]
