Medical criminal law

Two classes of offences related to the professional life of doctors, pharmacists and pharmaceutical representatives are characteristic for medical criminal law. One the one hand there are always accusations against doctors for breach of duty of care. On the other hand, there are an increasing number prosecutions in the fields of billing fraud and sponsoring. In all these cases, it is necessary to be pro-active as early as possible in order to bring the proceedings to an end before a public trial. Throughout the situation we keep a watchful eye on the especially serious professional consequences for the accused as well as on the actions for compensation, which often run parallel. In addition to representing individual defendants, we also continually advise hospitals, conduct training events for professional staff and provide expert opinions.
